We're SO weird

Humans are so narcissistic and self righteous we invested a god to take care of us
Then we invented thirty million more
And now we fight over which one's better.

And then we decided that the time wishes are supposed to come true is 11:11 because that's when earth is most suitably angled to lick the ass of one of our gods

And then we invented numbers and decided that some numbers were lucky and some just weren't.

And now we assume that everything in the universe is here to help us and everything is about us. We're literally nothing. We could all die tomorrow, and nothing would change. The sun would still rise and still set, but there would be no stupid teenagers instagramming photos of it with hideous pretentious irrelevant captions.

Then we decided which animals we can kill and which we can't, and which fish we can catch and which we cant, and which birds we can trap, and which we cant.

Then we decided that killing someone was wrong, and we decided to form committees to save people from each other. People started killing people who believed in different fables than them, and we needed to protect ourselves from ourselves.

Then we decided that we'll just divide into over 200 + different fragments and just form borders, and that we could kill anyone who tried to mess with our border, and it would be rewarded by the committees which were placed earlier to prevent that very act of murder.

We decided that somebody dying to save a landmass that we decided to bifurcate was more noble than somebody dying in an accident.

We also decided which disease was more glamorous and which disease got its own colored ribbon. Cancer became the star child of the disease fandom, and kidney failure came last.

We're SO weird.

Teacher: Your answers aren't even related to the question.

Peeves: Yes. Now if they procreate, atleast it won't be incest.

The Adjective Before Each Noun

There are a certain times, when the need for people to aggravate hatred between people just leaves you appalled.

On the 26th of July, 2014 I opened the newspaper 'The Hindu', for a heads up about what all  is happening around the world. Ukraine-Palestine, Sania Mirza, CSAT.. Encephalitis until one article caught my eye. The article on the last page, placed second last from the bottom.

"Delhi Government School denies admission.."

Oh okay. This population and the kind of competition... it happens. The headline further read..

".. to two MUSLIM girls".

Wait what? They did it on the basis of their religion?  How inhuman!  I decide to read the fullarticle as to why this shameful incident even take place.

To my surprise, throughout the article, there was no mention of the fact that their religion was the cause the girls didn't get an admission.

"The school authorities had denied the aadmission because they seats were full".

Erm.. so that is it? That was all the article was about?  2 girls denied admissions to a school because the prescribed number of seats according to the norms was full?  That is all the article was about? So why the 'muslim' put in the headline?

To spread more anger than already present in the society? The headline was presented in such a way one would think the girls were denied their Right To Education because they called God by other name. Does that mean no child from other religions, castes and sects were denied but them?

But isn't that the rule? Stop taking admissions after the seats are full?

I am sure the two girls didn't want the news to be presented in such a misleading way.

Mrs.Bindu Shajan Perappadan, your adjective of 'Muslim' before the noun 'girls' was not cool, ma'am. Not cool at all.

Journalism is supposed to bring people together,  unite them and bring justice. NOT pull them apart and create a valley between. I don't think being biased towards a certain sect of society is going to award you with any extra points.

The Angel's Curse: The letter.

Dear son,
I have always looked upon you as my source of pride. You have always made my look up in pride. You have lived up to all my expectations. But sometimes, I sense you are unhappy with your life. You have been a source of joy to your mother and me ever since you came into the world so forgive me if I come off as blunt in what I am going to say to you.
In this letter I am going to tell you something that I learnt the hard way in life. Son, accept it. Accept that People will always have life better than you. they will go places better than you ever will. they will go out, meet people and visit exotic places you can only dream about. They will talk about their experience, the 'Rad' party they went to, and this creepily funny guy they met on the plane while you look at your bespectacled face in the mirror wondering if it ever gets any better. Maybe it does, but there is a greater chance it wont.
Who knows?
What can one do?Whine about it?
Sulk? Complain?

No.

You have just got to fight.
Against all odds.

Kismat se ladaayi hai. -- "It is a war against your own fate".

You can not escape things. No you can not. Never. You can just try. Try to make it better. During this, life will push you, trip you over and mock you when you fall down. It is not about who falls. It is about whether and how soon you choose to get up and start walking again. Do not live in denial.

Your kindergarten days are over

Take care,

Your father.

Iron Ore

When life gets tough, when things aren’t fair,
When you feel yourself, in the alley of despair,
When you feel sad, and you feel low,
When all you experience is anger and woe,
When life caves in, and it hits you hard,
And you feel your trust be ripped apart…
Don’t let yourself in, don’t let it show,
‘Cuz you’re always in this, ever alone,
The times that you see, the lessons you’ll know,
These emotions will keep you from letting you,
No matter what happens, keep your spirits high,
Keep your insides deep and the outsides bright,
Don’t slow the pace, don’t lose the haste,
Don’t let the hindrances rupture, your speed in the race,
‘Cuz life is what you see it is, and much more,
It’s an uncut diamond, an Iron Ore :)

Guess who is back?

So, the rumors were true after all.I am back.

After a long time. (and that's a long story why, so please don't ask).

A lot has changed since the last time we met. I have deleted the previous posts. Yes, I do things on a whim.
News is that my boards are on and everybody is tensed.

But it has also brought me closer to my parents and family. Its a month of hell, but once its over..it'll be gone. and with it,my school life too.

Maybe its right what they say. maybe these ARE the moments I am going to remember later in life. Or maybe not.

The latter having a greater chance of coming true.

Anyway, got to go. Mom's looking at me with the corner of her eyes and giving me chills.

Learnt a new word, I shall use it here...
Aurevoir.!!!
