7 Must Watch Movies For The Fashion Buff!

There are only a few things that I enjoy as much as going through a fashion magazine or staying in to watch a movie. Getting to do both things at the same time is golden for me.
There have been many amazing series devoted to fashion and style, like the oh so perfect Gossip Girl, from the wardrobe, to the locations and the psychology of the characters that managed to inspire us in every single episode. Since the Serena Van Der Woodsen days are long gone, I thought it was time to bring back that amazing feeling, but this time focusing on the major motion pictures.
I’ve decided to share with you 7 of my favorite fashion related movies:

1. The Devil Wears Prada

Devil Wears Prada
I know you’ve probably seen this movie a billion times, but not including it would be a terrible sin. I won’t go a lot into what this movie is about because I don’t want to spoil it for you if you haven’t seen it. Just watch it and thank me later. This movie was adapted from a book written by Lauren Weisberger, who worked at Vogue magazine for awhile. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out she was inspired by Anna Wintour (American Vogue’s Editor-In-Chief) to create Meryl Streep’s character.

2. The September Issue

Anna Wintour
Talking about the Queen.
The September Issue is a documentary that focuses on Anna Wintour, Vogue’s Editor-In-Chief while preparing the start of the “Fashion Year”. If you didn’t know, september is like january for fashion magazines. It’s the most important issue of the year, and when you’re the leader of a magazine like Vogue, everything has to be perfect.

3. The Intern

The Intern
The Intern is a movie starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro. It talks about an old man that applies for a retirement internship citizen program and lands a job at an e-commerce fashion startup. This is the best fashion + comedy combo. You’ll love it.

4. Coco Before Chanel

Coco Before Chanel
This movie is next on my list when I get to stay in. This french movie tells the story of Coco Chanel, all the way from her origins to the incredible empire she ended up building. She was truly a pioneer in the fashion world and everybody should know her story, plus I’m pretty sure this one is available on Netflix.

5. Funny Face

Funny Face
Funny Face is a musical from 1957 starring Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire. Audrey’s character, Jo Stockton, is discovered at a fashion shoot in a bookstore and her adventures as a model take her all the way to Paris. If you love musicals, you will adore this movie. Besides, who doesn’t love a good Audrey Hepburn movie?

6. Confessions of a Shopaholic

Confessions of a Shopaholic
A girl that loves fashion, living in New York. Sounds like a dream, right? Yeah, well… things can get really messy when you’re a shopaholic. If you love to shop and your happiness leves rise overtime you see the word “sale” you will relate. Honestly this movie is all of us, and its perfect for a popcorn night with your bestie.

7. Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Breakfast at Tiffany's
Another Audrey Hepburn movie and a classic for sure. Breakfast at Tiffany’s is based on a book written by Truman Capote. It revolves around the peculiar life of Holly Golightly, a New Yorker socialite and her cat. If you haven’t seen this one, do it, you won’t regret it. Besides, it has just the perfect touch of romance
